Hotel Information

The hotel was a focus in the James Bond film `Tomorrow never dies` with Pierce Bosnan.

This is certainly one of the most traditional and best hotels in Germany and there is also a music lounge in the basement which is very popular at the weekend.

0708 hm

The hotel is a magnificent, traditional, grand, white building with a green copper roof. The entrance is on a side street, off the busy lake road with 2 white columns in the front.

The large, impressive lobby features tapestries on the walls, marble pillars and an open fire in the seating area, above which there is a large tiled portrait, which again is framed in marble. The black leather furniture was especially commissioned for the hotel.

The Hotel Atlantic Kempinski is one of the world's leading hotels, inseparably linked to the city of Hamburgs history and social life since it first opened in 1909, as a Grand Hotel for passengers with bookings on famous luxury ocean liners. The Hotel Atlantic Kempinski's snow-white faade is a local landmark and it continues to be a favoured venue for festivals, fashion shows and international conferences. Le Tout Hambourg gathers to celebrate festive occasions in the hotel's exceptionally beautiful banqueting halls. The visitors book reads like a Who's Who. A sensitive renovation programme has enhanced the existing facilities and ensures accommodation is the finest in Hamburg. For demanding travelers a first-class address is just as important as a perfect service, love of the detail, exclusive ambiance and the luxury. No miracle therefore, that the Hotel Atlantic Kempinski Hamburg, one of the few true grand hotels of our age, has been sucessfully cultivating its worldwide reputation as one of the world's foremost hotel addresses for more than 99 years now. With spectacular new offerings such as the ultra-cool BMW suite, the new Club Atlantic - the latest "in" meeting place for Hamburg's trendy set - the Tsao Yang restaurant serving genuine Chinese cuisine in stylish ambiance, the lavish Sea Cloud Suite and a series of new junior suites, the Atlantic manages to combine innovation with tradition in its own inimitable way. Executive Chef Sven Bttner is widely seen as one of the architects of this successful blend of the modern and the classical. His unusual creations have gone down well with regular guests. Word has spread, and many new patrons are flocking to the Atlantic Restaurant. The hotel's latest coup is the recently unveiled "PrivateMax", the first private cinema in a German hotel. Long-term resident and German rock music legend Udo Lindenberg uses it much as a home cinema - though of course the PrivateMax is fully available to all hotel guests and corporate clients**Parking Fee: 32 EUR**
