This is a modern, purpose-built block, with a very blue exterior, giving the hotel its name.
The lobby is very large and impressive with white faux leather seating, various other forms of seating, a black and white tiled floor and very attractive ceiling lighting that constantly changes colour. In the near future, a bar will be incorporated into this area but at the time of writing, this was not yet completed.
This new hotel is situated at the edge of Amsterdam city centre. The historical centre of Amsterdam, the Rai Congress Centre, the train station and the Sloterdijk, Zuid-As and WTC business parks are all just 10 minutes away by car or 15 minutes by direct bus, tram or train. Guests will find restaurants and shopping venues 3 km away and it is 5 km to the city centre. Schiphol Airport is a 10-minute drive from the hotel.
