The Bondeheimen represents a type of property once far more widespread in the cities of Norway. Its original purpose was to be a kind of home-away-from-home for visitors to the city from more rural areas, and for this reason, good, wholesome quality of every aspect of the hotel at an attractive price were the hotel's original aims.
