The building which houses this historical hotel dates back to 1800. Having been used originally as a military headquarters it was later turned into one of the first hotels in Campeche and is still currently one the most beautiful hotels in the city. The hotel has recently been remodelled and reopened to the public. Guests can admire this historical landmark while staying in the magnificent guest rooms designed to provide maximum comfort and modern amenities. The hotel features 25 beautifully decorated, colonial-style guest rooms, including 3 junior suites. The building that houses our hotel dates back to 1880. It was initially built to be used as army barracks, but then became one of the first hotels in Campeche City, and remained as such for almost a century. In 2004, its new owners started remodeling it completely, although they respected the original architecture, floors, ceilings, patio, hallways and decoration, without neglecting modern amenities such as wireless internet, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, swimming pool and air conditioning, among others.The rooms are decorated in colonial style. They have the original tile floors, high ceilings with wood beams, cedar furniture and completely new bathrooms. The hotel is located in the historic center of Campeche City (declared World Heritage Site in 1999 by UNESCO), a few steps from the sea. It is surrounded by historic buildings, colonial houses, churches, forts and walls, souvenir stores, museums, convention center, bars and restaurants.
