The hotel is a long, slightly curved cream coloured brick building in the midst of southern Karelia's well known scenery.

The lobby itself is small but has an open wall to the large, main restaurant where people can take a seat while waiting to check in.

The Hotel Cumulus Imatra is a pleasant hotel in the centre of Imatra, located on a pedestrian street and only a stone's throw from the Saimaa waterway and the fantastic Imatra rapids. The cosy rooms and the popular restaurants lend their own flavour to the hotel's simple Karelian charm.

The large rooms have been completely renovated and are in very good condition. They are light and airy yet cosy with light pastel colour schemes of cream, green and brown and laminated wood floors.

The main dining restaurant, "Martina", is homely and has an international menu.
