The building is a Palace from the 14th century annexed with the 19th century palazzo called Casa Nuova and the modern building Danielino.

The lobby is a magnificent and spacious hall with marble and luxurious furnishings. There is a small wooden reception desk. The lobby has a high ceiling and at the left side there are marble columns. At the right side of the desk there is a red carpeted stairway leading to the upper floors featuring marble columns. At the right side of the entrance, through a marble arch, there is a beautiful sitting area with Murano glass chandeliers. Another sitting area is sumptuously decorated with antique pictures and the ceiling is decorated with gold leaf. Yellow easy chairs are in front of the fireplace.

This exclusive traditional hotel occupies a former Doge's Palace beside the water and close to St. Mark's Square. Links to the public transport network also lie within walking distance.

Dating back to the 14th century, the Doge's Palazzo was originally a commercial and residential palace, which has now been constructed. Guests are able to bring goods into the inner courtyard by boat, where they can be validated and sold. This hotel comprises a total of 233 rooms spread over 5 floors. The lobby counts as one of the most magnificent hotel lobbies in the whole of Europe, which has been maintained in a Gothic Venetian style and is impressive in way of its splendorous marble features, the outside staircase and the gazebo. A 24-hour reception, a cafe and bar are available for guests to use. There is also a restaurant offering excellent food and panoramic views and guests may enjoy charming views of the lagoon and the rooftops of Venice.
