It is one of the most impressive examples of military architecture of Tuscany, and was one of the most important strongholds. Inside the citadel of the fortress in the oldest part of the fortress (prior to restructuring the architect Sangallo) after having crossed the bridge on the moat in the small square is the hotel, with 16 rooms furnished with refined elegance and period furniture, from whose windows can enjoy a breathtaking view of a cliff over the village of Sorano.

The hotel does not have a restaurant, but has agreements with many restaurants (Ristorante da Fidalma, Old Source, La Taverna Etrusca Ristorante dei Merli) and the possibility to choose the half board or full board with the one chosen by customer.
