This is a medium rise modern construction which is typical of the Socialist-Realist style prevalent in Ukraine in the 60's and 70's.
The lobby is large and features much dark marble and wood. There is some seating available, but its main purpose seems to be for check in/check out and to reach other areas of the hotel.
The hotel is located right on the main street of Kiev, Khreshchatyk Street, opposite the National Philharmonic Society and 150 m from the National Music Conservatory. Many points of interest are within walking distance such as restaurants, pubs, discos, the park, shopping and public transport. The central train station is located roughly 2.5 km away. Guests may walk to tourist attractions such as the Saint Sophia and Saint Michael cathedrals, Saint Vladimir's Hill and Monument, Kiev Opera House, Maidan Nezalezhnosti and Saint Andrew's Church. The river beach can be reached in 20 minutes on foot.
