This hotel is in a prime location in the centre of Amsterdam and suitable for those who are looking to be close to the red light district and China town, one of the busier areas of Amsterdam. However, it is located on a small side street opposite a canal and so is quieter than most of the streets in the area. jg/05/2007

This is a traditional building in keeping with the buildings in the area and are typical Dutch style.

The lobby is medium-sized and was also renovated in 2006. It now benefits from a trendy feel, with brown carpeting, gold velour seating and modern lighting. There are also futuristic stools and tables offering an updated and vastly improved atmosphere. The lobby is split level and there are steps up to the reception area which may not be ideal for people with walking difficulties.

The hotel has a perfect location very close to Dam Square, central railway station, and the red light district. The central location means that most tourist attractions are easily reached on foot. It is approximately 15 km to the beach. Shops, restaurants, bars and public transport links are 10 m away.
