The very attractive main building dates from 1726 and was originally a hunting lodge, which was later converted to a hotel. There are additionally several annexes which belong to the hotel where rooms have same high standard as in the main building.

The lobby is medium sized and reflects the homely atmosphere of the hotel despite not being as traditional in style as the exterior of the building might suggest.

The bedrooms are furnished in various subdued colour schemes to a high traditional standard and have a very homely atmosphere. Due to the age of the building they vary a lot in size, but on average they are medium sized. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are in good condition.

The restaurant offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Its furnishings and style are quite modern, its kitchen renowned as one of the best in Germany for both gourmet and traditional cuisine.
