The building is historical dating back to 1342. The exterior is pastel yellow in colour and built into the surrounding architecture. The exterior still features the old hotel sign outside.

The lobby is modern in decor with dark wood flooring and beige leather look furniture. It is medium in size and features a seating area along the bar and also in front of the windows bringing natural light in from the street.

The hotel enjoys a central location in the heart of Salzburg, from where all the sights are within walking distance. Restaurants, bars, links to public transport, the bus station and shopping opportunities can all be found in the immediate vicinity. The train station is approximately 1 km away. The Dom Platz (cathedral square) and the Getreidegasse Mozart are also in the vicinity. W.A. Mozart Airport is about 5 km away.
