Opened in 2005, this city hotel comprises a total of 41 rooms spread over 6 floors. During reconstruction work, the central facade retained its original appearance whilst the interiors were completely adapted to suit guests' needs. Merchants Street is one of the most important streets in Riga and records mentioning it date back to as early as the 13th century. Initial documented information about buildings along this street were found from the 14th century when German merchants constructed homes here, near Dome Square. Over time, many constructions have been built here, the most important of the 18th century taking place during the 70's and 80's. The style of the houses was changed significantly, meaning that instead of Renaissance elements, the facade gained more classical features. Amongst the facilities count a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe and a lift in addition to a hairdresser salon, a cafe, a bar, a breakfast room and a playground. As this is an old building that has been completely refurbished, many of the rooms are different in size however all are of an equal standard. Rooms are decorated in a comfortable modern style, as are the bathrooms.
The hotel does not have a restaurant, but it does provide a small dining room where breakfast is taken, located in the basement.
