The hotel is located in one of the most exotic places in the world, on the shores of the Beagle Channel and with a beautiful view of the snow-covered peaks of the imposing Andes mountain range. About a 15-minute drive from Ushuaia town centre with its tourist centre and the Tierra del Fuego National Park, plus around a 20-minute drive from the Martial Glacier and the cross-country ski runs at Tierra Sur. The Cerro Castor ski resort is about 25 minutes away by car.

The hotel has a rustic architecture made from lenga wood and stone, with an impressive natural surrounding which offers guests a unique experience in a high standard hotel. It has direct access to the beaches on the Beagle Channel, allowing the guests to get up close to the incredibly transparent and deep blue waters of the South Atlantic Ocean. The air-conditioned hotel was renovated in 2008 and comprises 54 rooms plus a lobby, 24-hour reception and check-out service, hotel safe and currency exchange facilities. Lift access, a games room, TV lounge and children's playground can also be found at the hotel. Guests can make use of the hotel's bar, restaurant, conference facilities and WLAN Internet access. For a fee guests can take advantage of the hotel's room and laundry services and there is a car park for guests with vehicles.
