A very impressive hotel.

Directions: Leave the M6 at Junction 40 and follow the A66 and then A592 to Ullswater and Windermere cross road. Then follow the Windermere signs until you arrive at Watermillock by Ullswater. The hotel is approximately 2 miles further on. (10/08DB)

This is a traditional building, built in the early 1800's and converted into a country house hotel in 1969. The hotel is set in 20 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland.

Renovated in 1998, this country house comprises a total of 39 rooms, of which two are junior suites and one a disability-friendly room, set over two floors. Guests are received in the welcoming and air-conditioned foyer. Culinary options include an elegant bar, two restaurants with a marked non-smoking area, and a breakfast room.
