Built in 1895, the Metropole Hotel celebrated its 110th anniversary in 2005. This is the only hotel remaining from the 19th century in Brussels. In 2002, the Council of Monuments and Sites of Brussels-Capital Region protected the Metropole Hotel's facade as well as the ground floor.
The hotel lobby is large and traditional, with a beautiful ornate ceiling, chandeliers and marble walls. It is very comfortable with plenty of leather sofas.
The main entrance has been decorated in French renaissance style, the reception hall in Empire style.
