The public areas and many of the hotel rooms have been completely refurbished with great attention to detail and combining modern with traditional. The materials used come from all over the world creating in their combination an elegant, but still very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is housed in a classical building, completely reconstructed in its original belle epoque style. An elegant driveway leads to the hotel entrance.
The large lobby is furnished and decorated with the most exquisite materials, from the fabrics of the curtains to painted leather panelled doors on either side. There are two marvellous large mirrors in eleborate silver frames behind the concierge desk and on the wall opposite. The floor is laid out with unpolished dark grey and beige stone, and the centre piece of this part of the lobby is a beautiful cristal chandelier. Following on from the lobby is another large lounge area, furnished with comfortable armchairs and sofas and low wooden tables, and situated below a mirrored and glass ceiling. Afternoon teas and snacks are served here. To the left of this lounge is a second very cosy lounge area, which leads to the reception desk.
