The building itself has been partly built from the facades of 19th historic buildings, most of which date from the 17th century.
The large lobby has recently been renovated and now benefits from a black and orange colour scheme with ample luxurious seating and intimate lighting. The restaurants cafe is also located in a part of the lobby.
Within about 10 minutes guests can reach the Anne Frank House from the hotel. Dam Platz is just around 5 minutes away. The Van Gogh Museum and the Heineken Brewery are accessible by tram within 15 minutes. one of the oldest districts of Amsterdam is situated right behind the hotel, along with the red light district and China Town. The RAI congress centre is just some 25 minutes away by tram.
