The fishing village of Bayahibe where guests will discover many bars and restaurants typical of the Dominican Republic is approximately 7 km away. It is a short 30-minute drive to the artists' village of Altos de Chavon as is La Romana International Airport.

Built in 1999, this Mexican-style hotel comprises 532 rooms spread over several 2-storey buildings and various villas that lie amidst the hotel's fabulous tropical gardens. Facilities within the complex include a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, an Internet cafe, souvenir shops, a jeweller's store, a library, an amphitheatre and a TV room.
