Parador De Mojacar

The hotel is situated at Mojacar beach. It benefits from the most pleasant microclimate in Spain and from beautiful views over the blue Mediterranean Sea. It is an ideal base from which to enjoy the quiet beaches or to play the numerous outdoor sports available in the area. The centre of Mojacar is just 20 minutes away by foot and the beach at Piedra is 20 m from the hotel's doorstep. Attractions worth a visit in Mojacar include the town's port, the viewing point of the Plaza Nueva and the castle. The Playas de Mojacar is a stunning 5 km stretch of untouched beach coastline. The nature reserve Cabo de Gata offers visitors a fascinating glimpse of the fabulous fauna and flora indigenous to the area and there are sand dunes and sites for bird watching just 80 km away. Tabernas Desert and the Zoological Reserve are 60 km from the hotel, which is 5 km from Garrucha, 16 km from Vera and 18 km from the motorway. Almeria is approximately 90 km away and the airports of Almeria and Murcia are 80 km and 150 km from the hotel respectively.

This beach hotel was renovated in 2007 and comprises a total of 98 rooms. Guests' can make the most of their stay with a refreshing dip in the pool, or with a work session in its magnificent conference centre, the rooms of which are all fully equipped. Additional facilities on offer include an entrance hall with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, a cafe, a restaurant, room service and, for an additional fee, a laundry service. There is a playground for younger guests and parking is provided for those arriving by car.

Whilst in the region one should try to visit the towns of Almeria and Vera. The Parador is located on the Mojacar beach, 1.5 kms from Garucha and 18kms from the dual carriageway exit.

Located in two storey wings, with modern and functional decor. All of the rooms have a balcony facing the swimming-pool, gardens and the sea.

The typical cuisine of the area is based on the large supply of fish and shellfish in the province. The 'gazpacho almeriense' (a cold vegetable soup) is very typical, quite similar to the andalusian 'gazpacho',
