The parador is one of the most outstanding buildings in the valley. The medieval tower of the old mansion which is adjacent to the parador is of a great historic and artistic interest. It has outdoor swimming-pool surrounded by grass gardens to enjoy during the summer time.

It has skylighted attic bedrooms, which traditional mountain house style decoration gives a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

The typical cuisine of the area is Catalan with a wide variety of dishes. Specialities include "Cocido Aranes (a chickpea stew) and "Trucha Pirenaica"(a trout dish). Other towns of interest to visit in the area are Viella, the capital of the region and the rural market town of Bossost.
