The cuisine typical of Ayamonte consist of fish, shellfish and all type of sausage. La Raya en pimenton (stingray with red pepper) is outstanding and although the experts claim that it is best eaten in January it is delicious all through the year. El calamar relleno (stuffed squid) is another speciality.
