The Parador is located in the historical town of Tui, on the border with Portugal. On the banks of the Mino river near the bridge which crosses into Portugal. 1208AB
Like the Paradors of Monterrei, Cambados or Bayona, this hotel imitates the typical Galician manor house in the country. Preceded by a "cruceiro" (cross), the building was constructed with granite and chesnut-tree wood in 1968 and refurbished later on. The powerful tower stands out and underneath the main door.
The main entrance leads to the lobby area. Large basing its decoration in a rural castillian-galician style.

Up a wooden staircase and carpeted corridors we reach the rooms which are simple but comfortable, decorated with the typical Castilian furnishing.
Through its windows the large front garden and the Portuguese mountains can be enjoyed. Among the specialities are cod and raisins pastry, Santiago shells with grated sea fruits and for pudding San Telmo iced glas or San Eo cake.
