This is a large, imposing, modern concrete high rise building.
The lobby is large, with much marble and dark wood. There is a lot of seating and good access to the other public areas. There are also some souvenit shops and small kiosks selling travellers' essentials.
The hotel is located in the city centre on a picturesque hill, just a 7-minute walk from Khreschatyk Street, the main street in Kiev. It is 5 minutes from the Olympic Stadium, the sports palace and the central synagogue. Guests may easily reach shopping, restaurants, pubs, discos and public transport links, which are all within walking distance. Such tourist attractions as Kiev Pechery Lavra, the World War II museum, St Vladimir's Cathedral, Kiev Opera House, the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Theatre of Russian Drama and Independence Square (Maidan Nezalezhnosti) are all less than 1 km from the hotel. Guests may enjoy a visit to the beach on the river or to the Botanical Gardens and both are around 1.5 km from the hotel. St Andrew's church is roughly 2 km away and the central train station is some 2.5 km from the hotel.
