Roca Mar

This hotel is located on the south coast of the island of Madeira in the tourist area of Canico de Baixo. A small bay with a single beach is approximately 50 m away. The old town of Funchal is 4 km from the hotel. The hotel affords a glorious view of the Atlantic Ocean. The immediate vicinity offers a variety of shopping facilities, bars, restaurants and links to the public transport network.

The hotel comprises a total of 100 double rooms spread over 3 floors. Guests may make use of the foyer with 24-hour reception desk, a safe, a currency exchange desk and a lift. Additionally, various shops, a small supermarket, a cafe, a bar, a casino, a hairdresser's salon, games room, a TV room and an air conditioned a la carte restaurant (with highchairs for children) are also available to guests. A conference room and a public Internet terminal are also on offer as is a bicycle hire service. Those arriving by car may take advantage of the car park or garage facilities. Laundry, room and medical services round off the facilities at this hotel.

The hotel has a variety of services and facilities such as direct access to the sea, the complimentary use of the beach towel and it's own diving base for those that want to discover Madeira underwater (payable directly). Clients are also allowed to use the facilities of the neighbouring hotel Royal Orchid which is literally next door with internal access.

All rooms are in good condition, are confortable and decorated in modern style and have balconies facing the mountains.

The restaurant offers clients a variety of dishes (both international and local) to a high standard. The decor is up-to-date and the seating very confortable.
