This is a high standard hotel in an ideal location with direct access to the department store from the lobby. It should be noted, however, that the hotel can be noisy at weekends due to the hotel's popular nightclub which stays open until the small hours.

The hotel is part of a large modern building, also containing a department store, one of the biggest in Finland. It is a typical Helsinki-style building - built for the Helsinki Olympics in 1952 - with a traditional facade.

The large semi-circular reception area is decorated in art deco style. There is a large seating area and a large wooden reception desk.

The hotel is situated around 400 m away from the main train station. The Modern Art Museum Kiasma and links to the public transport network can be reached in a few minutes on foot. In addition, the airport is about 10 km away.

This 9-storey city hotel was renovated in 2003 and comprises a total of 288 rooms of which 9 are suites. Facilities include a reception desk, a cafe, a bar and an air-conditioned restaurant with a non-smoking area. In addition, there is also a hairdresser available in the hotel.

The hotel comprises 270 rooms for non-smokers with sound-insulated windows and individual room cooling system. From the balconies of the rooms on floor 9, you see Helsinki in all its glory. The hotel also has 6 comfortable meeting rooms. The present ambience of the hotel, completed in 1952, is a splendid show of Finnish design traditions. The hotel is protected by the National Board of Antiquities.
