It is located in a place of great natural beauty, in the highest of the Collada of Toses (1800 m of altitude), with excellent panoramic to the valleys of the Cerdanya and Ripolles, at only 3 Km of the new ski lift Alabaus. La Cerdanyas valley in Girona is the widest valley of all the eastern Pyrenees. Its peculiar location represents a natural reserve of great brightness and magnificence. It is the only Pyrenean valley that stretches from east to west, and because it has one of the highest sunshines of Spain (3.000 hours of sun per year). The minimum height of the valley is 1,000 metres and it is surrounded by mountains that range between 2,000 and 3,000 metres (Carlit 2,921 Puigmal 2,9009). During the months of winter the ski resorts of La Molina and Masella are its main appeal. Both ski resorts are connected by a cable car forming ALP 2500, the biggest skiing area of the eastern Pyrenees. With a maximum height of 2,535 m, more than 100 km of ski slopes and 300 snow canons assure each year the possibility of enjoying the snow skiing, surfing or doing snowshoes excursions through the woods. La Cerdanyas valley is watered by the river Segre and its tributaries. To all these features we must add warm temperatures in spring and summer, without exceeding 25C degree, which allows to do all kind of outdoors activities such as sports: trekking, horse ridding, quad routes, BTT excursions, as cultural: Romanesque routes, museums or classical music concerts. It is an area with an easy access from both Gerona (150 km) and Barcelona (150 km). As a whole, La Cerdanyas valley represents the perfect place to spend some days in the mountains, within a unique environment, practicing outdoors sports and enjoying from spectacular landscapes, pleasant temperatures, a choice of gastronomy, a great cultural richness and long and sunny days.
