The Rainbow Gildevangen is a comfortable hotel in a fine location. CW07/08

The hotel forms part of an office block, the building is modern but has no real outstanding features.

The lobby area is small with a nice seating area with leather furnishings.

This appealing hotel was built in a Gothic style and is located in the centre of Trondheim. There is a stop for the public transport (a bus stop and train station) situated just 300 m from the hotel. The Nidarosdom lies around 800 m away and Pirbadet is 400 m from the hotel. Trondheim airport is around 35 km from the hotel and a regular shuttle service runs there.

Built in 1908 and renovated in 2003, this hotel comprises a total of 90 rooms spread over 5 floors. Facilities on offer include a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a wake-up service and lifts. The hotel also features a lobby area with a TV, a bar and a restaurant. Other facilities include room and laundry services as well as WLAN access. There is also a car park for guests arriving by car.

110 modern well equipped rooms, also featuring special rooms for the female business traveller including the little extra, as well as executive rooms for the travelling executive. A whole new wing opened up in 1999 with 32 refurbished rooms.

N.B.The hotel is undergoing works in order to build a new wing and re create the reception and breakfast areas. Works are due for completion by February 2009.
