This hotel has a fairly modern exterior, although the hotel was built at the turn of the 19th century.
The lobby is small and like the rest of the hotel, is fairly old fashioned. However, it has a wonderful stone floor, dark red carpets and leather sofas, and leads to the bar and restaurant. There is also a little alcove with more seating and a very welcome working fireplace.
This first-class hotel is located in the Belgian capital of Brussels between the city centre and the Gare du Midi. A free-of-charge shuttle bus transfers hotel guests to the main sights of interest including the architecturally magnificent Grand Place, the wonderful bourgeoisie square with a gothic town hall and the nearby Saint Michel Cathedral. The Manneken Pis, a 60 centimetre-tall bronze statue in the old town is very popular with tourists. Further sights of interest include the Arc de Triomphe in Cinquantenaire Park as well as the art Deco Sacre Coeur Basilica.
