The lobby is medium in size and traditional in its decor. It has a tilted dark wood ceiling with wooden reception area and dark coloured tiled flooring all linked together by a brick to create a country manor house feel. It also incorporates a small seating area formed of black leather couches and local flora adds to the overall decor.

This hotel is located in Barrio Tournon, just 125 m east of the La Republica Newspaper facility and only a few blocks from central San Jose. With its central location, it is close to major attractions such as the national theatre, the gold museum or to the capitals night life.

The hotel is a jewel in itself and comprises a fine mixture of 80 rooms including 56 standard rooms, 23 superior rooms and 1 suite, spread over 3 storeys. It offers great value in San Jose.

All the rooms are large and in good to very good condition. Both modern and traditional furnishings are used and the dark carpets contrast the light coloured walls and blend with the dark wood furnishings.

An international menu is served in the dining room which is again a mixture of modern and traditional furnishings. There is a large brick fireplace and a traditional dark wood piano which adds to the overall homely feel.
