The Amazon Yarapa River Lodge is an award winning eco-lodge located in Nauta, in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest along a remote tributary of the Amazon River. The lodge employs a strict adherence to earth-friendly practices, including full solar powering, composting, and flush toilets with a waste management system. Rooms at Amazon Yarapa River Lodge are screened-in and roofs and walkways are thatched with a natural cooling system from the tropical heat. All furniture is hand-carved and built by local artisans. Bed linen and towels are included. Rooms are available with a choice of private or shared bathrooms. At this property all meals are included. These consist of delicious traditional Amazonian dishes cooked with fresh local ingredients. Special diet requests are available. A full bar with bottled water, sodas, and a choice of alcoholic beverages is also available. Guests are invited to take part in the adventure activities, which include guided rainforest hikes, wildlife boat rides, bird and monkey watching expeditions, dolphin excursions, authentic canoe trips, medicinal plant hikes, night nature walks and star-gazing boat rides. Amazon Yarapa River Lodge has its own private beach and famous Victoria Regia lilly pads. Amazon Yarapa River Lodge has 24-hour front desk service and shops on site. The Amazon Yarapa River Lodge is a 20-minute drive from Francisco Secada Vignetta International Airport plus a complimentary 3-hour van and boat ride.
