Margarita Island is located off the northern coast of South America, in the south-eastern Caribbean, with 934 km² of coastline and a population of 300,000 inhabitants. The hotel is located in the exclusive area of Costa Azul in Porlamar - the main city - in front of the Casino Hilton. It is surrounded by the best shopping centres and restaurants on the island, and is close to the marina, an amusement park, day and nightlife venues as well as the historic town of Pampatar.

Renovated in 2005, the hotel includes 150 rooms, with 20 junior suites, 3 suites and 127 studios. Facilities include a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a safe, a cloakroom and lifts. Further facilities include a café, a small supermarket, a hairdresser, a bar and a restaurant. Conference facilities are also provided as well as Internet access, room service, a laundry service, a kid's club and a garage.
