Built of hand-hewn timber.The Main Lodge is surrounded by 24 cabins around the lake. The Lodge was originally built by the Canadian Pacific Railway. From upper or lower large verandahs, the visions nature presents are as fresh and breath-taking as ever. As in the past, Emerald Lake proudly welcomes those in search of the extraordinary.
The lobby is of medium size and opens into quiet reading and sitting rooms and a games room. The lounge is enhanced by an oak bar salvaged from an 1890's Yukon saloon.
This charming hotel, which is known as the Jewel of the Rockies, sits on a 5 hectare peninsula overlooking the Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park. It is just 20 minutes from Lake Louise and 40 minutes from Kicking Horse/Golden. The town centre is just a 12-minute drive away.
