To enter the property, one must first pass through the fortress walls guarded by an oversized wooden gate. Once inside, the property is a combination of Dutch, Portuguese and Sri Lanka architecture but all on the minimalist side with subtle features and clean lines. The resort is a low-rise structure designed around a garden courtyard facing the beach. The pool is located between the rooms and the beach.
Keeping with the resort's design, the lobby is open-air with a small reception desk and seating and leads off to the dining areas and pool to one side and the rooms to the other.
