Amongst the facilities count a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a souvenir shop, 3 bars, a nightclub, an Italian à la carte restaurant and an open-air buffet and grill restaurant that lies directly beside the beach (both restaurants are air conditioned). Those arriving by car may make use of the hotel car park and garage facilities and there is a kids' club with entertainment for those aged between 4 and 12 years of age (runs from 9 am until 5 pm) as well as a playground. An in-house laundry service rounds off the offerings.

It is located in the Playa Dorada complex and only 20 minutes from the International Airport of Puerto Plata and 15 minutes from the Puerto Plata town. Opened in 1987 as one of the first North Coast destinations near Puerto Plata, the resort provides budget-minded families and couples with a relaxing, casual atmosphere and activities such as water sports and horseback riding.The resort projects onto a point rimmed by a boardwalk. The resort also includes a swim-up pool bar, a bar near the pool, a bar on the beach, a bar in Hibiscus, a bar in the casino open until 3 AM, and a bar in the Crazy Moon disco open until 4 AM.
