The house features a balcony and private garden. Light and airy, each of the rooms at The Harbourmaster’s House features an en suite bathroom, and a TV. The large dining room and kitchen lead to a large walled garden. Linen and towels are provided in this self-catering accommodation. The village has a traditional Irish pub, and there are also shops, and boats for hire are all within 50 metres of the B&B. Birr Castle is a 15-minute walk away, and the famous monastery of Clonmacnoise is 30 minutes’ drive from the house. Fishing can be enjoyed either on the canal which is right outside the front of the house or on the nearby River Shannon. The property is able to advise guests on great fishing locations, while the house can store your bait and fish.
