Small dogs can stay, for a fee. The air-conditioned Japanese rooms at Hasuwa have tatami (woven-straw) floors and traditional futon beds. Each room comes with a tea maker, fridge and attached toilet. Bathrooms are shared. JR Yufuin Train Station is 800 metres from ryokan Hasuwa. Ogosha Shrine, Kinrinko Lake and the Mark Chagall Museum are all 2 km away.
