The resort is located in the south west. The countryside that surrounds it is both impressive and imposing. On the one side, the foothills of Plaine Champagne Mountain descend in a sheer drop of over 500 m, while on the other side, the sheer vastness of the Indian ocean stretches beyond the horizon. The resort is just 40 km from the country's capital, Port Louis, and 35 km from the airport.

The resort has a residential charm all of its own, capturing the colonial spirit of Mauritius with its plantation architecture, expansive manicured tropical gardens as well as the gentle waters of the Citronniers River. Unequalled in Mauritius, nature is at the heart of the resort, from the pristine reef-enclosed lagoon and beach to the adjacent nature reserve of Valriche extending over 1,500 hectares.
