In the Ylläs ski area of Finnish Lapland, the Holiday Clud Äkäslompolo Apartments and Cottages is amid some of the country’s most famous cross-country skiing terrain. All accommodation comes with a traditional fireplace and a private sauna. The timber-built buildings are in a rustic style, however each has a TV, DVD player, and a modern kitchen including a dishwasher. Guests have a living area with sofas, and the accommodation has either an outside terrace or balcony. The centre of Äkäslompolo is approximately 750 metres away, while guests can use the restaurant and bar at the neighbouring Äkäshotel which also has a swimming pool. Äkäslompolo Lake is popular for fishing year-round, and in the warmer months hiking in the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park offers untouched landscapes and berry- and mushroom-picking. Kolari Railway Station is half an hour’s drive away and Kittilä Airport is 50 km away.
