Although the official category of the hotel is deluxe, this is not really a reference to the standard of the hotel which is that of a basic first class. However, this product is simply unique and deluxe in terms of the many, many unique experiences it offers which include a museum dedicated totally to the life of the Bolivian people and their history which tracks the history of the country and in particular the Lake Titicaca area ending with an encounter with a spiritual natural medicine doctor and fortune teller. There is also a Andean Eco Village showing the authentic traditions and cultures of the local people, mud igloos and floating islands depicting the Urus Chipaya culture, a handicraft village, an altiplano museum, an Andean fauna a native chapel and finally the Alapacha Native Observatory. The hotel is formed of two blocks. Both are formed of white stone with terracotta bricks and roofing.

The lobby is medium in size and incorporates two seating areas with plenty of local flora and shrubbery for decoration. It is furnished in a traditional style with terracotta brick walls, cream carpeted floors and a wood reception area.

The majority of the rooms is to be found in the main block of the hotel where the reception is found. The rooms in this section are medium in size and in fair to good condition with modern but basic furnishings throughout. In the adjacent block, the rooms are newer and all are very large and in good condition. The decor is in keeping with the rest of the hotel basic and modern with light colours predominately used. All beds are fitted with electric blankets.

The hotel has two restaurants. One is in the main building just to the right of the lobby and is traditional Bolivian in style with Bolivian entertainment every evening. The other is directly on the lake in a circular thatched building, very traditional Bolivian in style.
