Wildlife can come right up to the pool, bar and thatched accommodation at Leopard Rock Lodge. Set by Murera River in Meru National Park, the spacious rooms feature a hand-carved, four-poster bed and African art. With panoramic views of the bush and river, every air-conditioned room has a large terrace with private access from the garden. All provide a seating area with Persian carpet and traditional-style décor. Breakfast is served daily and there is the option of a bush breakfast or aperitif by a waterhole where hippos often bathe. Lunch and afternoon tea are available in the open-air restaurant and a gourmet 6-course menu is on offer for dinner. Animals including elephants, giraffe and rhinos roam free in the park and the lodge has a land cruiser for game drives.
