The lodge lies in the North Eastern part of Costa Rica's Caribbean coast in Tortuguero Limón on a sand bank between Canales de Tortuguero and the sea. It offers guests perfect access to the unspoilt beach and the channels. The hotel building may only be reached by boat or by plane.

Renovated in 2006, the hotel building houses a total of 54 rooms and is situated on 6 hectares of grounds, offering unique views of the lagoon and the channels. The attractive gardens and the rustic fittings mix with the lush vegetation of the rainforest, with its exotic birds and wildlife. The lodge's facilities include a currency exchange facility, a games room, conference facilities, shops and a laundry service (charges apply). Food is provided in the café, the bar and the restaurant.

The large, homely rooms are situated in wood-covered Fincas and come with their own bathroom with shower and hot, running water. Furthermore, guests may enjoy ceiling fans, a double bed and a single bed or 3 single beds. Each room has a balcony with a divine view over the garden.

The garden complex features a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi. In addition, there is a games room with billiard table, darts, table football and various board games for both adults and children.

The hotel's own restaurant, the Cheleonya, offers its guests a selection of national and international dishes, which are included as a buffet in the price for full-board.

This hotel's package includes the transport from any hotel in San Jose centre to hotel and the return to San Jose. The pick up time from the hotel in San Jose is 6 am so it is recommended that guests reserve one night before in San Jose. Guests must pay the accommodation cost in the hotel chosen in San Jose, as it is not included in the rates of this package. Guests should inform the hotel of their flight number, and the time when arriving at Juan Santamaria International Airport, as well as the date and time of their return flight.
