Built in 1933, Nihonyanagi Ryokan is a traditional Japanese-style accommodation situated within a 60-minute drive from Hakodate Station, Hakodate Airport and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station. Free WiFi access is offered throughout the entire property. Private parking is offered for free upon reservation. As the accommodation is nestled beside the sea, guests can enjoy views of the ocean and local fishing village. Hakodate Jomon Culture Center is a 10-minute drive, where guests can experience making earthenware or view some clay figures registered as a National Treasure. Rooms are separated by Japanese fusuma paper sliding doors, and feature decor influenced by both Japanese and Western design. Rooms come with a TV, tatami (woven-straw) flooring and Japanese futon bedding. Guests will find a public bath, shared refrigerators and a washbasin on site. There are 2 bicycles on site equipped with baskets which can be borrowed for free. The property offers free shuttles to a nearby public bath facility. A soba workshop is also situated on the ground floor of the accommodation, and guests can reserve a soba-making experience.
