Peacefully located between forests and vineyards, this family-run guest house enjoys a scenic location in Handthal. It offers rental bicycles, a charming garden and its very own vineyard. Pension Margarete features bright rooms decorated in a classic style. Each is complete with free WiFi, flat-screen TV and a compact bathroom, as well as picturesque views of Stollberg Castle ruins, 442 metres elevated above ground. Breakfast is served each morning in Pension Margarete’s inviting dining room. Guests are also welcome to use the on-site barbecue facilties. There is a restaurant next door serving regional specialities and freshly caught fish. Younger guests will enjoy playing in the children’s playground which is right next to the wildlife park. Visitors can also explore the surrounding forests by bike or on foot. Alternatively, wine-tasting is offered in the neighbouring vineyard. There is a sustainability centre in Handthal and a treetop path just 3 km away. Free parking is provided by Pension Margarete.
