This Pousada is situated on the lagoon between Murtosa and S. Jacinto, north of Aveiro and is 3 km from the village of S. Jacinto. The area is referred to as the Venice of Portugal and is well known for ceramics and azulejos (tiles) it is also the headquarters for the porcelain works of vista alegre which is known worldwide and who have their museum in Illhavo.
