At The Ranch at Ucross there is lots of self-directed fun for kids. All ranch activities except hunting are available for children. It's a great place for a kid to be a kid - watch them build a fort in the willow trees, hunt for fossils on the hillside, or catch frogs by the pond. Better yet, join them! The Ranch at Ucross is perfect for small group meetings and retreats. Conference season runs from October to May. Warm fires, wonderful food, and attentive service frame your work time. The Ranch at Ucross has a variety of room styles. The Willows cabins feature western décor and views of the horses grazing in the back pasture. Ranch House rooms are perfect for those who love the unique feel of historic Bed and Breakfasts. The Piney Creek rooms have private balconies that overlook our trout stream and wildlife habitat of the hills beyond the ranch. Our largest rooms are the Cottonwoods, with plenty of space to stretch out after a day in the saddle. The Hunting Lodge is located behind the main house within walking distance and has 6 rooms. This is ideal if families are travelling together. All rooms are comfortable and immaculate. Some have sitting rooms. All have modern baths with shower/tub combination.Ucross and its surrounding area is rich in the history of the west. Many western writers, sculptors, artists and craftsmen make this area home for just that reason. Each room has a basket of cowboy poetry and other regional books provided to give guests true insight to the Wyoming way of life. A star chart is tucked in to help visitors identify the brightest constellations they've seen in years.

Choose from western decor of our Willow Cabins, the cozy charm of the restored hotel Rooms, or the great views of the Piney Creek and Cottonwood rooms. All have modern, private baths and at least one queen or king sized bed. The Hunting Lodge, with its six bedrooms and spacious great room, is perfect for large groups.

Excellent food is served buffet style most nights. They offer wonderful beef, chicken and trout selections nightly. Breakfast includes selections for healthy and hearty eaters alike. The full service bar features premium liquor and a fun selection of local microbrews.
