In a perfect location, guests need only have a 1 minute walk before reaching the central high street which has excellent independent shops. There is also a river walk behind the hotel as well as many other walking routes throughout the area. The bus stop from and to Edinburgh and Melrose is also located across the road. The building itself used to be a family home in the early 1900's and converted to a hotel in the 1940's. It is a traditional hotel with a warm, friendly atmosphere with the added asset of welcoming staff; perfect for guests looking for good food and good service. Highlights of the hotel would be the beautiful views that can be seen from most of the rooms and the small putting green within the hotel garden. Guests also have the opportunity to use the leisure facilities at the sister hotel the Peebles Hydro which is a 5 min walk along the same road.
