The hotel Alte Thorschenke has the appearance of a little castle with its dark tiled sloping roof and small spires. It is originally one of the oldest historical wine taverns in Germany from the 13th century.

The small lobby is furnished with antique furniture. It has a tiled floor covered with rugs and only a small seating area. The focal point is a heavy hand graven wooden spiral staircase from the 16th century.
