Although the original building was torn down and this is a brand new building, due to the strict building laws in Amsterdam, the new building had to be in the old, traditional style to fit in with the neighbourhood.

The lobby is medium-sized and airy with a black and white tiled floor, terracotta leather chairs and pale blue beams on the ceiling, giving it a modern style with a traditional twist.

Situated in the historical city center, on the Martelaarsgracht. This is the road which runs from Central Station. The Central Station is a stone drop away and a tram to the RAI convention centre leave from there. The hotel can also be easily reached by private car. There is a fee public car park next door to the hotel.
