Robert Banastre was given the original house by Edward I in the 12th century. The present manor house was built in 1853 and is quite stunning, whilst there are also 2 modern wings added onto the original building.
The lobby area is quite small and cosy, with welcoming staff and a few seats leading into the open plan Lounges.
This hotel is located near the historic city of Chester, just 3.2 km away. Attractions such as Chester Zoo, Blue Planet Aquarium or Cheshire Oaks are just a 5-minute drive away. Oak Designer Outlet Village is also nearby and the closest airports are Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Manchester Airport, which are 40 km and 64 km away, respectively.
