The property is in the countryside so pay particular attention to the directions. From Stansted Airport follow the A120 towards Great Dunmow, at the main Great Dunmow roundabout follow the B184 North heading to Thaxted. Follow the B184 and continue heading for Thaxted. After 6 miles there is a sign for Richmond Green, Lindsell and The Art Gallery on the right. This road is single track and the fields to either side are much higher than the road, follow this road for about 1.25 miles and after a sharp left hand bend you will see a sign on the right for Cowles farm. (There is also a Mirror on the Sign). Take this turning and follow the lane, go through the gates and over the hump in the drive and Cowles farm Stables are on the right hand side at the end of the Lane.

Cowels farm stables has just been restored over the last two years. Although newly restored the restoration has been done in keeping with the original style of the building. It still looks like it has been plucked from the 17 century. The Stables are set in 15 acres of farm land. There is also ample car parking facilities.

The rooms are in a Thatched stable block that has been restored beautifully. They offer ensuite showers razor sockets, TV, DVD, safe, hairdryer,tea coffee making facilities. The restoration of the property has only just finished and therefore the rooms are in exceptional condition.
There is no Restaurant as such but breakfast is served in the room.
